Such a strong Black man,
Nobody can touch;
Dad is a babe in Christ,
That's what I admire so much.
When I look at my father with pride,
I see just the man I long to be;
A man with so much strength inside,
That he prays for you and me;
And he endured his shares of grief,
As he lost his mother and father,
But my dad prays for God to lead,
Be amidst when times get harder.
Such a strong Black man,
And nobody can touch him.
A man, a father, a brother, a husband,
A deacon that praises and serves Jesus;
Dad's smile after service is so loving,
And it is one of the church's sweetest;
You should hear him when he pray,
Man, my dad would make you cry,
Because good prayers blow us away
And to think, he was my mentor all my life.
Dad is a babe in Christ,
And that is why I love him.
My dad sings,
And prays,
He dreams,
And he also says,
... what thus saith the Lord.
My dad loves,
And perceives,
He does,
And he always believes,
... what thus saith the Lord.
Such a strong Black man,
Nobody can touch;
Dad is a babe in Christ,
That's what I admire so much.
