For A Friend

Who to turn to, my life's a mess

growing misery, i must confess

grip so tight, refuse to fall

but to whom do I call?

And suddenly I scream your name

we hold another, in this crying game

but my friend, there you are

always so near, and never far

And when the light is to far gone

you'll wait with me, until the dawn

by my side, to watch the stars

planet venus, planet mars

When trouble brews, like a storm

upon my face, looks so forlorn

a simple word, addressed to me

makes me laugh and smile with glee

And when you cry, I hold you tight

we'll walk together, and brave the fight

brave the storm, and brave the fears

rain cloud forms, and rain appears

The storm is tearing through the skies

casting shadows, casting lies

but we will hold our stances firm

and let not the storm be our concern

We'll find an ending to the rain

an end to tears, an end to pain

through the storm to reach and end

a helping hand, to which we lend

And so my friend, the end is clear

that we have grown so close, so dear

that without you, there'd be no me

no one to turn to in my misery

So take to heart these words I say

that if there ever comes a day

that you should need someone to call

I'll be the one to catch your fall...
