The Game In Which I Play

In my quiet solitude

Is where my heart remains free

To fly the endless journeys

That was meant for only me

In no one shall I find

The truth of who I am

I’ll find it deep within me

For ‘tis me, who truly can

Flying to fantastic places

Where no else can go

Is what I want, to do the most

And let my imagination flow

Alone beside myself

Looking out, and looking in

Understanding and forever learning

I cannot lose, nor can I win

This game in which I play

A game that is my own

I never will grow tired of

Though ‘tis a game I play alone

I have learned to find excitement

In all that I ever do

Whether standing on wings of forever

Or pondering life through and through

In my world of dreams

I alone can venture here

No tears dare to fall

For there’s nothing that I fear

And in the world I live

Sheltered from prying eyes

Who would judge me from a simple glance

I’m remembered in the skies
