I'm not perfect just like you
it's just not in my genes
i know that you are but not me
So throw the stone
i know you like them gorgeous
i know you like them petite
i know you like them perfect
i know you wish that was me
you mention this nonchalantly
as if i wouldn’t notice
I’M NOT GORGEOUS
I’M NOT PETITE
I’M NOT PERFECT
So throw the stone
You know how much i like you
You don’t like me and that’s okay
But do you have to tell me why
Do you have to tell me what you’d rather I be?
Why don’t you just throw the stone?
I love this poem Holli, it really shows the real you, and how deep you feel about this. I see that your talent has come from your pain, what a gift. Keep it up, but remember to smile once in a while, no matter what others think, you are beautiful.

i think that this is a very emotionally involved poem with the idea that one day you might have the chance to have the one that you are talking about. the one you speak of is stubborn and has his or her head in the sky. if this person were to get some sort of reality check, he or she might start to enjoy your company more often and take a relationship to the first or second step.
