I ASKED THE LORD FOR YOU
asked the Lord to bless you
As I prayed for you today,
To guide you and protect you always
As you go along your way.
I asked that God would give you
The courage that you needed it today,
I prayed for happiness for you
But then I confess, I asked for more.
I prayed that God would always bless you,
With 'Belief' in who you are,
Because in God's eyes as in mine
You'll always be an Angel and a Star!
I asked the Lord to bless you,
Yes, indeed I did, as I prayed for you today;
To give you new dreams to build on and things to plan ahead,
And to show you how bright, your life can really shine!
New sunrise and sunset in your heart, to also arise,
Yesterday had come and gone, again
So I asked the Lord to bless you
With many days in life and love shining as much, through your eyes!
