Of all the roses in the garden

You were the chosen one

The most precious and royal

Of all the roses in court.



The one that had inspired

Love and sad songs

And also brought us with your

Warm and radiant smile more sunshine.



Timeless will be your presence

Your kindness never forgotten

Your inner beauty was so admired

And in the end you remained and stayed untouched.



For you are forever the true English rose

The one that will grace and perfume

Forever all our lives

And everything that you ever touched.



Even so you were in life mishandled

So ill treated and fatally wounded

All in all the wonderful you

Came always shining and graceful too.



And so you had opened more of your petals

Now in death but never forgotten

You had inspired so much love with your compassion

Your zest for life and your fighting spirit



With your loving touch and radiant smile

So down to earth you graced the sun

And now my dearest Princess you living all your dreams

And dress with love forever all the stars above my head!
