And I believed in myself once more

When through my dark life the bright light tore

You stepped up to me and said hello

You looked through my eyes, as your face glowed

You held my hand, pulled me up to score



When I lost hope I gave up the war

Ready to plunge the knife to the core

But you came through with hope to bestow

And I believed…



You stood by my side, helped me to soar

In all trials you opened a door

You never gave up on me, though slow

I was in running my own life’s show

You made me see, my life to explore

And I believed…
