I don't think of you anymore

English poems

No, I don’t think of you any longer

Of how our love was brought to so much heights

I don’t think of your kisses anymore

Just on sunrise, sunset and moonlit nights

I look back at how our love came to be

You touched my hair and whispered words so sweet

To my ears to said how much you loved me

From then on you have made my life complete

But there are things that are not meant to be

Ours was sweet, so real, but it had to end

The sky, the trees, everything around me

None of their beauty made my heart to mend

Now you lie so warm in another’s arms

As I lie alone, so cold, on my bed

I wonder if you’re wearing the same smile

The one you had back then for me instead

I try hard to keep my eyes dry at nights

And in mornings my mind preoccupied

I try to hide the bitterness and pain

My love for you I try to set aside

Hours, days and months pass by so quickly

To myself I say that I am okay

I have tried so hard not to think of you

As to my new life ahead I would sway

No, I don’t think of you any longer

Of how our love was brought to so much heights

I don’t think of your kisses anymore

Just on sunrise, sunset and moonlit nights
