Vast sky above,
vast sea beneath.
They link arms on
the horizon.
Their master, wind,
sculptures their form,
heaps the waves,
sweeps the clouds.
Birds swim the sky
fish wing the sea,
creatures unfettered
in realms of freedom.
Tide swallows sand,
cloud swallows sky,
tide recedes,
clouds disperse.
Sky tints the sea
blue, green or grey,
but neither one has
any true colour.
Air is not blue,
water not green,
their hues illusions,
just tricks of the mind.
I LOVE THIS POEM
Hi Eunice,
How lovely to see that you are still posting here.
Your poem gave me a lovely sense of freedom. I enjoyed the imagery in many of the verses.
As always, well done. Thank you for sharing your poem.
