Today I go away
I'd rather not go
but I cannot stay
here, detox is
my new address
I must leave
ain't no tricks up this sleeve
I cannot believe,
Its surreal
21 years old
Destined for detox
Where they check
Each and every pair
of socks
"It don't matter
and I don't care
I let my pain into the air
Cuz everything that's over there
And everything is hard to bear...."
My favorite song
Thanks to Rehab
So many chaotic memories
And those that bring tears to my eyes
Detox,
Get better
I will be
who I once used to be
Watch me,
You too shall see
The old Shana
is still there
In detox where you stay
In detox
where you stay dry
Only wet tears to cry like raindrops
Seeing you there
In slippers and socks
Lunch to eat then walk and talk
Stories of past will alway stay written
Mistakes you've made can be forgiven
People who love you
Please know we care
Thick and thin they will be there
Not to pick you up but to hold your hand
I know it's tough but so are you
You must understand it is time to stand
Up in the air is not for smoke and dreams
It's to reach for the stars
It's time for a new start
Get your key and get started
Because life is to short to get outsmarted
Just so you never lose
Lose those who abuse
Life can't be restarted
I'll always love you. No matter.
You need a while to collect your puzzle and put it together
You love your daughter and you'll have her love
You love yourself and you'll have your life
Let time pass I'll be here when you know where your at
Live for the ones who love you.
Make mistakes, learn from them.
They will still love you.
I love the line
The old Sharna is still there
This speaks volumes! Perhaps i like theironic twist that being the person you were with the pain who has ended up in rehab is now appreciated so much more than before, the realization you are beautiful deep inside as you were then. Hugs a beautiful story and a beautiful poem to match hugs SS
Don't let any one shake your dream stars from your eyes, lest your soul Come away with them! -SS
