Take Exam vs. Give Exam
- Take Exam [পরীক্ষা দেয়া]: I will take exam. [আমি পরীক্ষা দেবো]
I have taken an exam. [আমি একটি পরীক্ষা দিয়েছি]
- Give Exam [পরীক্ষা নেয়া]: The teacher will give exam. [শিক্ষক পরীক্ষা দেবেন। অর্থাৎ শিক্ষক একটি নির্দিষ্ট দিন ধার্য করবেন যেদিন ছাত্রছাত্রীরা পরীক্ষা দেবে]
The teacher will give exam to the students. [শিক্ষক ছাত্রছাত্রীদেরকে পরীক্ষা দেবেন। অর্থাৎ শিক্ষক একটি নির্দিষ্ট দিন ধার্য করবেন যেদিন ছাত্রছাত্রীরা পরীক্ষা দেবে]]
N.B.: 'Take' means 'নেয়া' and 'give' indicates 'দেয়া' in Bangla. But, when we mean 'পরীক্ষা দেয়া' and 'পরীক্ষা নেয়া', then the translation will be just the opposite i.e. 'take exam' and 'give exam'.
