Everyday is another day.

It won't be long.

I'll  come back

To You Again.

Wax and Wane

Like that Moon.

Have to get  /  Something   /   Done

All I have to Do.

Is think of You

And Here Comes

The Flood.

You were right about what you heard

About Hendrix and Vaughan.

It was Stevie's brother Jimmy.

Jimmy Vaughan opened up

For Hendrix at a concert in 69.

Hendrix liked Jimmys Wah Wah pedal

And borrowed it for the concert.

Hendrix broke it , so he gave Vaughan his.

Steve Miller and Jimmy Vaughan play

Together now at times.

Les Paul was Steve Miller's Godfather.

Steve Miller is into Blues now

And is going into the Rock and Roll

HOF.

Where you at ?

I know some Hendrix's

That are Fans of Stevie

But Jimi died in 1970.

They rank Stevie as the #7th best guitarist

Of all time and is in more then one HOF.

The amazing thing to me is how good some

People are when they are young.

Kenny Wayne Shepherd picked the guitar up

When Stevie layed it down.

Yeah, I know when Jimi died,

Yeah, I know when Jimi died, I guess I thought Stevie Ray was older, he would have been in 16 in 1970, I checked, but what I said was based on a very modest quote I heard- when Jimi Hendrix was asked what it felt like to be the best guitar player in the world, he said, "I dunno, why don't you run down south and ask Stevie Ray Vaughn." But I didn't hear that as a recording or anything, could just be made up, I also don't know when Stevie Ray started playing... never heard of Kenny Wayne Sheperd...Why do they all have three names? Why did Jimi have to die? Life's not fair.

I could talk about this

All night.

Hendrix was amazing.

He was Irish ,  Cherokee and Black.

And was just sooo Kool.

Spent alot of time in the UK and had that Accent

That was a mixture.

I might write a prose piece off the top of my head

About these Guys.

They are all great innovators with their own styles.

Jimi was depressed for different reasons but

In no way did he commit suicide.

He just couldn't sleep.

I know how it is.

I had that problem my whole life.

All of this is off-track though

But I am  happy to share.

The poem came to me in the middle of the night

Like  " The Flood ".

'..like that moon'

nice. I like this. Makes me think of shifting weight back and forth, foot to foot, when standing and waiting for something.

KindredSpirit's picture

I like that.

Youre making me think

The same way now.

Hope you have a good one  !

I have spent many a night

Thanks Boris

For the comment.

Poetry can be viewed different ways

At different times in a persons life.

It depends on your frame of mind at the time.
