Mistake.

poems Take a long look into those bright green eyes,
They shine like the sea.
Look at that beautiful smile,
It sparkles perfectly.
She always appears so happy,
like a child.
Yet inside she's dieing,
so desperate to be heard.
Screaming for the help she craves;
But no one heard -
The only one tuned in: is herself.
She's been trying and trying,
but can't seem to shake:
the way she feels - day to day.
To cope, she grabs the booze,
she smokes her weed,
but in the end -
it makes her weep.
"Why?" She cries. *bottle in hand*
"Why can't I be happy?"
Her mind answers: "Oh, no, never again."
So the years pass and the time piles up,
her hopes and dreams: shriveled up.
Now there's nothing left of her,
just a, beautifully broken, face.
Her life goes on:
but the truth is - there was never one day,
that, inside, she felt great, because all she felt was:
mistake.
Mistake
A thoughtfull and emotional poem. Was it the pusuit of happiness you were writing about, or its loss more I think because of addition problems? It's quite depressing and woefull reading but emotive. I like your rhyming too.

It seems sad to those of us
It seems sad to those of us who are happy without those things, If they were that sad they'd hit bottom and stop, don't you think? I do. There are places to get help, but they like dealing with life that way, just like we like dealing with it by choosing healthier ways to cope. Idk, I could be wrong. Nice poem. At least it makes people think about it.

Yeah it deff. makes you think
Yeah it deff. makes you think because everyone is different and its hard to process and know what those people are thinking seeing as it could make them feel amazing -- so thats why they do it. I know people who have been in situations like this and even myself have dealt with expierences kind of in the same almost. But thank you for reading it really means alot. You just gotta look at other people's perspectives sometimes.
