would you cry at night?

Would you bang your head

'til the morning light?

Would it hurt you to know

the pain that I feel?

Would your head let your heart

know my terror is real?

If I told you a secret,

how would you know

that I'm telling the truth?

Would my eyes tell you so?

If you touched my hand

could you feel my soul?

Could your heart understand

that I am not whole?

If I told you a secret,

could you help me at all?

Could you find your way in?

Could you break down the wall?

I need to escape.
