Past Due









My heart was on retainer,

now your bill is long past due.

All the services once rendered

are no longer there for you.



My heart was  at your bidding

there for your every need.

But you wouldn't pay the fee I asked.

Was it selfishness or greed?



My service no longer needed

and so I'm pushed aside.

You go back to your day to day.

Your wish must I abide?



No one gets exceptions,

all will pay what's due.

Don't think because you walked away,

that you won't be paying too.



What comes around will go around

you'll get yours too, I bet.

When you too, feel that broken heart.

Then you'll know you paid the debt.
