For if you can't

see it in my eyes

or feel it with my touch

You will never hear it

on my lips

An After Thought







I have never seen your eyes for real.

I have never felt your touch.

It's only by the words we shared,

that touch my heart so much.



I did ask of you those special words

my ears will never hear.

I thought if you would spell it out

the meaning would be clear.



And now I'm left to wonder,

where the feelings ever real?

Good-byes left my heart wounded.

With three words, it would have healed.
