LeVane....Can You Hear Me Now?

My dear friend,

can you hear me now?

How many times

you've said that to me.

If only I could hear it

just one more time...

Can you hear me now?

It was so funny to you

wasn't it?  Cell phones.

If only I had known

it was the last time

we'd say good-bye.

Can you hear me now?

My dear friend,

I never got to meet you.

Only losing you forever

could be a greater loss.

How glad I am

to have known you

these years --online.

Unfortunately, online we meet

rude and obnoxious people.

You never were.

Did your wife wonder about

that woman online?

No need,  I'm sure she knew

you were always a gentleman.

I am so glad to have known you,

my friend, LeVane.

And so sad you are gone.

So perhaps I can't hear

your answer.  But,

Can you hear me now?

Thank you so much

for being my friend.

I will miss you,

ImAMacUser2

~for you, LeVane~

I just read the comment here from Teddy (above) and just wanted to be clear for anyone else who may read here....The comment: "Such a loving heart you two shared. (etc)"...please be sure to note, this was a friendship only.

Sometimes, people can read more into a statement than is intended and make assumptions. Maybe even Teddy (another online friend) had the wrong impression. We were good friends online, we did chat daily, but had never met. I certainly do not want anyone to have the wrong idea of such a terrific person (or of me) so please don't 'go there'.

Kim,
This poem is so touching , and it is much different from other works, simply because, yu wrote it by dipping the pen in your blood......
i join with yu to weep in your loss
best of luck,

Such a loving heart you two shared. THIS is the kind of love that makes the world go 'round. My heart is with you, KAT; you have taught ME a bit about loving, too. Love and Prayers to you. Teddy

Kim,
I'm so sorry about your friend's passing. I lost my best email buddy last year. I know how it hurts. I'm going to check back later to see if you posted a pic. I know that's what you have in mind.
Thanks,
Dan

Kim, I know that this must have been pouring from your heart onto the screen as you wrote it. I'm so sorry for your loss of a friend. God bless you and God bless LeVane's family. You're all in my thoughts tonight.

Kim, I am so sorry for the loss of your friend. Just remember the good "chats." Life must go on, and time heals the wound, leaving only the scar!

Good write! Cletus Hardiman
