-Bacon, Eggs and Blue, Blue Eyes

Bacon and eggs and blue, blue eyes

peeking over the paper, no surprise.

Pretending to read the news of today.

All the while wantin to go back and play.

"Turn off the stove", you say with a smile,

"breakfast can wait a little while."

As I slip past the table, you pat my rear.

I read your mind, its perfectly clear.

So, the race is on, I sprint for the hall.

But you're faster and catch me against the wall.

Your kisses on my neck, so warm to the touch.

My whispers in your ear....I want you so much.

The kids are gone, spending the weekend away.

Today is all ours, and we're gonna play!

Hours of giggles, cuddles and embraces sublime,

only when the sun sets, do we notice the time.

You ask, "What's for dinner?" with twinklin' eyes.

"Oh, just bacon and eggs." But that's no surprise.

Loved it. My kinda day! Loved where you coming from. More should enjoy the quality time when we have it, but with us it's having the grandkids gone. She usually gives me a soft spoken "mooooo" and I just snort and blow snot and chase her down the hall. Keep it up...Ray.

I really liked this one. It kept my interst through out. I looked forward to reading each and every line. To many poems I read on this site make me lose interest before I'm done. This one kept me.

Great job!
