"As water reflects a face
so a man's heart reflects the man"
What is reflection of this man
that I see?

A heart that flows
with amazing love,
willing to sacrifice self,
giving life for life.

A giving heart
that in joyful silence,
makes available little things
needed by a stranger.

A thoughtful heart
finding pleasure
in a 8 x 20
filled with paper.

A loving heart
that raises a child,
decent and kind,
a reflection of the
goodness in himself.

A happy heart
that giggles gleefully,
for no other reason
than shared togetherness.

Who is this man
that I have never met?
If we passed one another
on the street
would I recognize you?

If I close my eyes
and listened instead,
I would know you
by the goodness
of your heart.

I cannot look
into your eyes,  your face.
But I can see into your heart
and it reflects a fine man
and a delightful friend.
