Keep me healthy, keep me strong,
help me work the whole day long.
And when my daily chores are thru
please save me time to be with you.
Wake me in dawn's early light,
fully rested from my night.
Eager to start a brand new day,
a little work and a little play.
Please give me the words to encourage others,
husband, father, daughter, brother.
Make my attitude kind and sweet,
words of love, each heart to greet.
And when I'm down and can't go on,
lighten my soul with a heavenly song.
Psalms and proverbs, prayers and praises,
with all these "P's" my spirit raises.
My thank-you's sent to You above,
for the little gifts and acts of love.
The sun that shines, the rain that falls.
Each breath I take God...thanks for all.
In everything I do or say,
let me be a light that shows the way.
Kindness mercy peace and grace.
Your wonderous love, all can embrace.
Lord help me honor you so true,
then call me home to be with you.
For when our earthy works are done,
no better place than with God & Son.
I LOVE THIS POEM
We have a mutual friend. Jessica that has signed above me has been a true inspiration and a wonderful friend in a very troubled time. She has mentioned your name several times and asked her just today who you were. You know Teddy Patton as well, another very good friend of mine.
I was reading some of Jessica's work and ran across a coment you had made on one of her works. Just the chance I needed to come and make a new friend.
Your prayer is very lovely. I am eager to read more.

You said exactly how I feel inside with this poem. I can't stay and read them all in one sitting, so I keep coming back--never to be disappointed. Please read my "Honeysuckle". This reminded me of it. You know? I feel like I know you somehow. I really enjoy your work.
