there are moments in our lives
when we find ourselfs at cross roads
the choices we make in those moments
can define the rest of our days
of course when faced with the unknown
most of us prefur to turn around
and go back
Afraid, confused
without a road map
but once in a while
people push on to someting
better
something found just beyond
the pain of going in alone
and just beyond the bravery and
curage it takes to let someone in
or to give someone a second chance
something beyond the quiet persistence of a dream
because its only when your tested
that you truly discover who you are
and its only when your tested
you discover who you can be
the person you wanno be does
exsist some where on the other side of hard work
and faith and belife
and beyond the heartache
and fear of what lies ahead
Your poem speaks of work,
Your poem speaks of work, faith and belief; in oneself I presume. It sounds a wonderful receipe for success I am sure with this outlook you will find your way. Liked the poem and it's hopeful message and advice whilst speaking about and out on confusion and depressionary ways, so counter productive.

Yes. We close off all
Yes. We close off all possibilities when depression sets in. We sometimes wallow if not ever traveled the roads of human anguish enough. Sometimes we learn all the byways and highways....and sometimes we don't. Depends on one's "life purpose". Beautiful and heartfelt, KD.
Love your ever lovin' heart. It has "heart". (A real one)
Hugs.

...and he asked her, "do you write poetry? Because I feel as if I am the ink that flows from your quill."
"No", she replied, "but I have experienced it. "
