At school

I suffocate

on stress

10 page research papers

double majors

and the minimum wage job

waiting for the time to pass

in a concrete fortress

where the wind never blows

managing time like a beggar

with her pennies

can't waste a single one



At home

I suffocate

on drear

soft flesh

too much food

and drugs

smoking in

the same spot

3 times a day

and sleep



When in one place

I always long for the other

forgetting

no matter where

I am suffocating
