How Can You Be So Sure
How can you be so sure?
Your life just bleeds into a blur
Deep inside you, you know something stirs
But with all the chaos you can’t be so sure.
You try to blame everyone but yourself
You’ve left everything that matters on the top shelf
Collecting the dust from years gone by
And now you want to go back in time to make things right.
Nothing else matters now
You’re falling real quick
All you can think of now
Is The life you’ve lived.
Everything seems to make sense now
Nothing happened by coincidence
If I only knew back then what I know now
It would have stopped all of my ignorance.
Now you’re coming to a fork in the road
Decisions fill your mind, and you have no clue
And you don’t like to be told what to do
But now your eyes are open to the truth.
And so the choice now must be made
Choose to live or choose to fade away
Life is given for just one purpose
To find a way through all the darkness,
Don’t let yourself give up, it’s a battle without rest.
Just whisper his name as you take your last breath
He’s more than willing to lay your head to his chest
And carry you to escape the hands of death.
