A Christmas Tradition
Yesterday, as is our tradition,
We put up our Christmas tree.
And each decoration and ornament we hung
brought back a memory.
For a few hours, with Christmas music in the background,
We hung those onraments...with smiles on our faces...
Remembering our children...our grandchildren...friends...family..
people...animals and places.
It’s a day I look forward to each year....
trimming that Frasier Fir tree
And enjoying the first present of Christmas...
unwrapping memories.
Three times my tree
Three times my tree decorations were stolen or left behind during a move - grandma's were the greatest loss, but they grace someone else's tree each year and that is a gift of sorts from us to them. Lady A
