You Condemned Yourselves...

Everyone who was still alive...
On Earth...that final day...

Turned their eyes up to the sky...
And to their God...did pray.

“Oh God!” they asked, “How could you...
condemn us to such a fate?”

“You condemned yourselves!” their Gods answered...
“When you turned our love...to hate.”

I understand the sentiment

I understand the sentiment but the gods can go **** themselves.

Gods Are Myths

and are not anthropmorphic in reality so rhyming about them is about all we owe them. Anyone read the King James Bible - The Psalms are beautiful poetry. The balance is all about men and God - no equal rights amendment for 50 percent of women stories selected. We got Ruth and we got a few Mary's, some wives tales, a warrior wonder woman or two, but, fortunately, women were not allowed to learn to read for centuries, so nothing lost. Sentiment is good to write too - been on earth too long, time to get in the galaxtic winds humans. Sin won't mean much after that. FYI, at post poems we use the word FUCK all the time. We're poets and mostly profane and irreverent. - allets -

I put **** for dramatic

I put **** for dramatic effect. lol but honestly I rarely use 'cuss' words, ever my kids think its funny when I yell out something like 'By the blood of T-Rex!' or something like that and I've been writing for about 44-45 years.
