When the heart is numb from too much pain



How long before love it can regain



Can it be one day we will no longer try



But just sit quietly, watch life pass us by



There are too many scars marring my heart



How many more before it rips apart



No longer this pain can I ignore



Now there is darkness to explore



Fallen to the depths of despair



This empty life's too much to bear



But go on living is something I must



To life without love I will adjust
