Life gave to me a blessing

Of which I've had but few

That could compare with the joy

I had in knowing you





You were my guiding light

My stabilizing rock

On whom I could depend

My heart you did unlock





You were a very special blessing

Chosen by God and sent to me

I thought we'd be friends forever

But it was not meant to be





I do not know what happened

And guess I never will

Now there is just an empty place

That only you can fill





Always will I love you

Even past the day I die

Now until forever

I can never say goodbye
