Sinking Love.

Sinking Love.

With dirt on my hands

Reach beneath the surface

To find the light gone.

But an illusion or a trick

To see it so close

Yet unable to touch

As it sinks away.

What must I when water calm?

To find, to strive for desires

That may never be discovered

In shifting light.

Must I disturb calmness and hurt another

When it is all so nearly lost?

Or to release grip in hope

That time may heal the wounds

And wipe the mind clean of thought?

To accept that the error had fault

And that the water never

Was right to be touched.

I do not know.

Whether to make a go of it or

Whether to make a go of it or relinquish the love? Big decision. This poem is brilliant, and explains and describes your situation very well. Everything almost within grasp and breathe or blink and all is vanished.

Such emotions are explained well here in your creation. Well written and a very good read.
