Anji the Bhanjee

Anji the Bhanjee likes to eat Kippers,
She lives near Mississippi where Dolphins do flippers.

She used to be a Hippy but now lives in ‘the chippy’,
Tries to be happy and not too flappy as do her slippers.

She cooks snake for breakfast, snake for lunch ever snake,
Occasionally hake or a cake can be zippy for the bake.

I like to visit this Bhanjee just once in a while,
As upon my visage doth it paint a smile.

So keep me in mind at ‘the chippy’ I’ll be sure to drop by,
For a futuristic visitation inclusive of pie.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I wrote this nonsense poem as a surprise present for my friend Anji who lives in Chippenham (here reduced to 'the chippy' for the purposes of scanning). It's typically full of nonsense and very much in the English tradition.
