Forward Track (Everything Changes)
Today I realized that nothing is as it seems
Everything changes, lives rearrange
And we forget about yesterday
All the promises we ever made,
Slowly fade away, along with yesterday
Today I finally care about me
And everything I want to do
I fell in love with you,
That's one thing I know is true
But as for now- we're so far gone, no looking back
Everything is on a forward track, and I know
I know I miss how things can be
Before everyone wanted to flee, and leave
Back before reality knocked on the door
There's just no joking around anymore...
Today I figured out how much things change
Friends over time forget my name
And who I am, who I've been
I'm just a stranger to my old friends
All the tears we shed in a year
Dry back up, evaporate
They are forgotten and thats how we all get here
Now we're so far gone, no looking back
Everything was on a backward track, and I know
I know I miss how things can be
Before everyone wanted to flee, and leave this town
Back before reality knocked on the door
There's just no joking around anymore...
With everything comes a new chance
To make it last, to make it count for once
With every change comes a new memory
To forget about, or you can make it count
With every second, a new opportunity
To make things right, or stay up all night
With every breath we take, a new chance
To try to understand, or hold your lover's hand
But now we're gone, no looking back

and I know I miss not caring how things could be
Before everyone wanted to grow up,
Stay young and free- that was me

But I like it better today
A new chance to make it my own way...
