Light it moves so slowly

Past your window

It creeps away

There goes another day

Casting shadows on your wall

I am setting up for another fall

Another failure's what I need

Another needle to make my heart bleed



Turn away just one more time

Look at the darkness and the light

Your outline moves away

There goes another day

Memories of times we shared

Remebering all the things you cared

All the promises we made those days

But still those shadows always fade



Turn out the light,

I disappear

Try not to fight

The ringing in your ear

When all has stopped and you lay still

The darkness overcomes your will

The light will surely come again

There goes another chance, my friend



Let me stay close by your side

Don't run away, or try to hide

As long as you are in the light, I will stay near

Casting shadows on everything for you, my dear

When you go to sleep at night

I will be there by your side
