Seasons of Love and Weather

The sweet sound of rain

Trickiling down my window pane

Soft pouring rain

It calms the mood

To prepare for the storm

Then lightening hits

And thunder cracks

All as if to warn

That tonight is going to be cold and a lone

Just like it was the night before

The sweet smell of rain

Comes seeping through the window pane

Calms the fears

I wish it could make everything alright

But then just as soon as it starts

The rain stops

Leaves nothing but a sloppy mess

Goes to show how life is for me and you

Once so beautiful

Then so grey

Dark clouds hang low

Then darkness comes from all around

Light rain falls and then it pours

Leaves you running from the doors

As they all swing open

Showing beauty and all it's might

Storms and anger are always connected

Rain and saddness and darkened skies

Aren't complete without tears

From all these beaufitul memories

That might one day go up in smoke

Now the rain has stopped

The ground is wet

Can't help but step in the water

Spread all over the cement

Who ever knew something as beaufitul as this

Could cause such an ugly sight

Like a bruise after a fight

Just as soon as the rain had stopped

The sun comes up, the clouds clear out

Bruises turn into scars and it is time to start over again

The sun shines brightly over the now dry land

Time to go outside and have some fun

Little do you know though, but the battle has just begun

Be happy now, I want you to

Just know that rain, will come back for you

Please don't call on me to keep you dry

If when the next time the sun comes out,

I'll be pushed away from your side

Next comes fall and then it is the coldest of all

When everything calms down there in December

Stick it out with me through it all

All during the fall

After the calm un freezes, next is spring

Time for the rain and weather to start up again

Just remember now...it was love that brought us here in the first place

Now just look out your window pane

See the rainbow that signals that a storm is worth more then tears

I can be your rainbow after the storm

Author's Notes/Comments:

The weather really is a clear picture of how we are.  There needs to be more rainbows in this life.  Maybe we aren't looking hard enough though.  Lots of metaphores in this one, lots of personal feelings hidden deep inside, too.   I wish there were less storms, but what is life without storms...and without storms, there would never be the rainbow. We all just need to learn how to react to the storms so that those rainbows can still come out and be seen....and I'll stop typin now and let you decide for yourself what this poem means!
