To forgive is to excuse somebody for a mistake, wrongdoing, or crime
Not everyone can do this at the drop of a dime
In many cases, it only comes with the onset of time
Dear brothers and sisters,” to err is human, to forgive is divine”
Those unwilling to forgive, continually live the hurts over again
Carrying "anger" like a trophy of sorts, crying “poor me tears” like rain
Bring it all to the Sweatlodge, and become victorious over the pain
Dear brother and sisters, to forgive, is truly to gain!
Those who forgive, the hurtful wrongdoings are only a scar
Their burdens have been cast away, they shine like the bright morning star
Life’s lessons are a challenge, but they make us who we are
Dear brother and sister, always forgive, don’t stuff your resentments in a jar
true but could you forgive someone who wrongs you everyday
Can I forgive someone who wrongs me every day?
To forgive or not to forgive is a consious choice made by every individual! It's a sad reality that many choose not to forgive! If we are truly in touch with our spirituality and understand life for what it truly is, then this choice becomes easier. Forgiveness is a release, a way of letting go of anger, resentments and hatred and no longer carry that burden around. Unforgiveness makes people bitter and difficult to get along with! True forgiveness is a virtue that few possess, but can be aquired over time if we desire it.
