Where a ruler pays attention
To false speech and lies
All his servants will be wicked
And ignore the people's cries
The wicked run away
When no one's even chasing
The Righteous are young lions
Confidently facing
When your enemy falls
Don't let it make you smile
Don't let your heart laugh
Not even for a while
That Jehovah doesn't see it
And it be bad in his view
And his anger will no longer
Your enemy subdue
Have you shown yourself discouraged
In the day of distress?
Your power will be scanty
You'll feel powerless
In the ears of stupid people
Do not speak
Your words he will despise
Even if discreet
Like a mad man shooting
Fiery missiles and death
Is a person tricking friends
He laughs and tries to catch his breath
By patiently waiting
A commander is induced
And a mild tongue itself
Can break a bone or make a truce
If one hating you is hungry
Give him something to eat
And if he's thirsty let him drink
And kindly treat
For fiery coals are what you
Rake upon his head
And Jehovah will reward you
And repay your bread
(coals refine precious metal - kindness refines people, even sometimes our enemies)
