Sometimes there's more to what you say than you may realize
You may build something entirely of lies
You may see something as less than you thought
You think it's a need and yet later in a second thought you're caught

I don't know why feelings can't always be clear
Confusion is one of few things I fear
There's so many things and people that will bring you down
Sometimes it seems there's no escape and they're all around

There's always a light in the dark just look another way
There's no guarantee that you won't make it out one day
There's always a speckle of hope to reach your core
You just have to find it and the light it will restore

Don't be afraid to push yourself you'll be okay
You're the way you're suppose to be no matter what others say
The wind will keep blowing and fire will remain hot
But nobody knows what you're going through even if they've been in your spot

People are different and so is their sight
They may not be wrong but neither are they entirely right
Don't hold back what you feel inside
A lot of times in the open is where true feelings should reside
