Hey what’s up?
The Circus of Correctness Hmm!
On earth there are correct countries
Inhabited by all correct natives! Residents
Who are proper and accurately
All right! Exactly truthful,
Absolutely impeccable
Impart a robust moral fibre.
That they are of such veracity
They just cannot afford
To make-up
Thus rightly followed are
Rules adhered to the
Extent hook or by crook
Stay appropriate, victimise
The other
Who, is not a one from clan
By proving him or her wrong
Though he, she is innocent
And contrarily to the so straight
Stay put within integrity.
However for the reason that
Innocence is no excuse or defence
To protect the self against
The wily who handle to remain
Artfully upright
Categorically dismissed by the
Self proclaimed correct who
Only pursue the correct;
Them who land
In such correct lands
Are doomed and damned.
Now how come
These odd ones so human
Find them-selves
In midst of correct states
So grand and noble
Buried in ruins, earn disgrace?
Simple, Machinists of rightness siphon
Sum such at random with
The help vacuum-cleaner-art gadgets
Having long arms!
From a distance pull in heads
To supply as absorbents
Those soak up to the brim
To count away dents, wrongdoings
Of and by the very correct denizens
Of very correct countries of the world
Circus of Correctness Hmm! With
Correct Nations on World Atlas; which, is very good
Asia, as well Africa is but each continent very human.
Now what’s this upbeat it’s only for the correct indeed!
To face-paint; Say make up. Once again hey what’s up?
Human are human not poser pure correctness at all!
So True!
Many in the world find it much easier to hate and say us against them when there is no us and them there is just a whole world of us. I wish more could see themselves in others. People are people and want the same simple things out of life. Thank you for shedding more light onto all this nasty business of deliberate ignorance some choose to accept as the norm...........I so enjoyed the originality of your poem. Thanks for sharing, sincerely, Melissa Lundeen.........
Your comment on my poem Circus of Correctness
Dear Melissa - Thank you very much for understanding my lines which I never thought would be appreciated. It is despicable as how some pretend to be all correct and find faults with others. This begins with individuals that extend up to countries. As if providing dry social wefare ends all liabilities of states and countries making them ideal keepers of flawless societies ... that they can point fingers on others! Regards Jayati Gupta
