Silver Lining

Honour

Well, I have come to know

Learn too many men.

Some from daily life,

Some from screen.

To some I was introduced,

Some on my own I could meet.

My father I always loved,

My brothers, be affectionate.

Few were colleagues and friends.

Government servants, Politicians,

film heroes, also commons.

Need to mention my loving

son and husband.

Men tall, men short,

Fat and thin

My respect goes to

The self-made man, to begin

With very own father, once again

symbol sacrifice. Then the gentle German

his immense patience, understanding

tolerance facing irrational oppositions,

with visible grace.

Risen to the Hall of Fame

Sincere determination,

A heart genuine

Confident man;

Petty gossip cannot

Slander or ruin.

Son born germane shining bright;

against hailstorm, pain, projecting

The truth submerged underground.

Keats?s "Beauty is Truth, Truth is Beauty"

Proclaim, reach the world in honest duty

Charismatic Mr G. Schroeder a self-made man The Leader

Rainbow in respect, he stands proof against malice

Life's, exemplary, ?Silver lining?

Author's Notes/Comments:

Respect to the self-made man a statesman leading a wonderful nation with intelligence in spite of pain.

I enjoyed this write immensely. It's heart felt and generously giving. I'm sure the men in your life are blessed with your love daily and see your beauty flow freely like this splendid poem.
