My eyes widen in surprise

This place

Why should I be surprised?

Fire and brimstone

I hear many cry

The smell of death is looming in the air

I knew our love was just an affair

A lie

A comfort only through emotions

For only a moment

A notion so unspoken

A temporary feeling

A dream turned into reality

I hold on to your hand and look into your eyes

That fleeting smile died

Your face, so unrecognizable

Where did the magic go

Of our love

You let go of my hand abruptly

You laugh and say to me
