New York keychains
Abigail, a 25 years old black woman, woke up one day, a normal day. Weather was perfect for a keychain seller situated in the Manhattan side of the Brooklyn Bridge. She made breakfast for her and her mother, both drank a cup of coffee and after that she took a shower. Will she was dressing in her room, two police officers threw the apartment’s door, entered without any restriction order and punched Abigail’s mother. She, half dressed, ran to see her mother. She was angry, scared, confused, yelling and wanted to hit the police officers. The bad thing: Abigail was given parole (3 months before, she robbed a “seven eleven” because they don´t even had money for food). Why the police was in her apartment? They received a call from a Jeremiah Thompson telling that in Abigail´s apartment drugs were sell to people. Abigail tried to explain them that he was her ex-boyfriend and that he made that call because he was hurted by the way she broke up with him.
At the beginning the police didn´t listened to her and after searching in every corner and leaving the apartment as a real mess, they went out of there. Abigail and her mother, they had a lot of things to clean.
After cleaning half of the apartment, Abigail´s mother told her that she needed to go work that day. She was real mad but she knew that her mom was a smart person and that after what had just happened; they will need the money more than ever.
Fortunately, while she was sitting right next to her table full of New York´s keychains at the Manhattan end of the Brooklyn Bridge, a group of 50 teenagers that where on their senior trip arrived and bought at least 3 keychains per person (totally between 150-180 keychains!!!). She was so happy that she wanted to cry. Suddenly, Jeremiah arrived surprised. He was anxious to visit her at jail.
Abigail saw him and immediately transformed herself into a ferrous lion. She yelled him so hard that everyone that was at least half a mile from her listened everything. At least 70 people knew what happened that morning to her. The 50 teenagers were kind of scared because they were really close to the ex-couple when Abigail took a punch of keychains and threw them to Jeremiah. He started running but Abigail persecuted him until she finally calmed down and realized that he didn´t worth it. She returned to work and never so him again.
