I strutted into the old train station, the makeshift club
My eyes dilated like the summer sun
From the “X”, the “E”, the Ecstasy
Light sticks glowing green, techno pounding, sounding like machines
Stranger’s sweet sweat sprays my skin
As he strides up with a grin
“You’re the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen”
Obviously the chemical overwhelming his being
Never had I heard those words said to me
Nor will I ever again, that I believe
The feeling of love invaded us all
We didn’t care to come down
We couldn’t handle the fall
Mingling, dancing, grinding, kissing
Inhibitions fading, awkwardness waning then missing
A utopian dream for an 8 hour stay
A mere $20 to get me this way
Sucking on a lollipop ring
As orgasms surged through my brain
Hey Jesus is that you with the menthol vapor rubbed under your crystal blue eyes?
Is this heaven in disguise?
An old train station in the cool of the night
Yet we are hot like the flames of hell burning bright
Why tease us God?
Why make me feel beautiful, then take it away?
Alone, sad, depressed, and damaged is the price I’ll pay
But for tonight, one may say it’s worth the plight
To hear you’re the most beautiful…
I’ll suffer the crash anyway
Now techno makes my stomach ache
She’s no longer me, she died they say,
And took a long ride on a one way train.
