Along the Road

2010-2012 Poems

Along the road-
She drove a mile in laughter...
Along the road a flame of hope ablaze
For 'happily ever after'...

Along the road-
Where she drove a mile further...
Her eyes and soul were opened
To a life without borders.

Along the road
Where she left tracks of tears,
She's found enormous courage
To face her fears...

Along the road of life-
She learnt, that she deserves more...
And so along the road, she drove on...
She had the time of her life: she ROCKED on!

A comment I made on my friend, Shaleena's post on Robert Browning's poem:
‎"Along the Road"
I walked a mile with Pleasure;
She chattered all the way.
But left me none the wiser
For all she had to say.
I walked a mile with Sorrow
And ne'er a word said she;
But oh, the things
I learned from her
When Sorrow
walked with me!
