Poverty, War and Politicians

You crush them to the ground
And leave them here bleeding?
Suck their blood, until they breathe
No more.
You're worse than a monster, feeding on flesh...
Morbid as death.
Inhumane.
Inhuman.
Who will answer to these children?
You have ignored them... they are dying anyway...
What about their future?
You do not care... you are secured anyway.
Disease of greed flows in your veins.
Made you blind on reality and your own faults...
Made you deaf on the cries of the people you vowed to serve...
Made you mute on the things we all should have heard-
And mute on the truth you should have spoken out loud.
Made you numb on our pains...
and made you smile with a devilish grin.
Here's the dagger...
Stab us while we are looking.
It does not make a difference.
Money is power...power in this world is everything.
The people.
Young and old.
The children...the children!!!
Yes. The children.
You will not be here forever.
There's an end to everything.
Even for you.
Then rise a new beginning...
But not for all of us in the NOW.
HOW DARE YOU?
Inhumane.
Inhuman.

The tone of this protest poem is more than adequately reinforced by the evocatice epithets and stong images that spring out to the reader's conscience and heart.

Congratulations on such a powerful, effective piece in defence of the millions of children in our so-called *enlightened* world, who are innocent and undeserving victims of slavery, war and poverty created and perpetuated by greed, lust for power and material wealth.

I repeat with you: HOW DARE THEY!!

PS: I would appreciate your re-visiting my PP poetry portfolio to read a poem titled *The Man At The Party* and would be most interested in your comments. It deals with the practice of corporal punishment as a form of child discipline.
