Et Galilaeus Es, 1

[after Mark 14:70, Acts 9:31]

The Gospel's sacred, ancient history
provides this inspiration (that, unworthily,
I seek to follow in my poetry):
to sing the early church in Galilee,
those Christians called by Christ's own ministry.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Having been accused of having rage and hatred in my heart because of some satirical poems written about a highly fictive and fictitious poet-poseur, I thought it might be demonstrative of good faith to begin a new series on a most sacred subject.
