The truth about the Princess Salome
I cannot here and how admit; nor say;
for thereby I would be forced to convey
the paradox that she followed the way
of Jesus' teaching. That fact I betray:
for I will not acknowledge nor extol
that faith, nor yet allow my History
to do so. Yes, the factuality
of her conversion from her family's vice
(and her own teenaged lust) must sacrifice
itself to something more believable.
