At The Apostle Saint John's Gospel Mood, 1

"And when he had gone a little further thence, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother . . ."
---Mark 1:19

". . . 'Surely thou art one of them:  for thou art a Galilaean, and thy speech agreeth thereto.'"
---Mark 14:70

A Galilaean yes!---but I can speak,
and read, and write in Latin and in Greek.
And for my book about the Christ, I seek
words that go further than a history---
into the province of pure poetry
(against whatever doubts the enemy
might pose), to trace profound reality.
Eternal life is for those who receive
the Gospel and, upon it, just believe!
