Curious Minds

I sometimes wonder

Why we’re here

Unlike the rolling of thunder

It wasn’t made clear

People take advantage

Of what they have

They sometimes pretend

Things aren’t that bad

They ignore the facts

Proven every day

Even some people

Take their lives away

But there’s still the others

That were meant to live

They had so much to tell

So much to give

Unborn babies

So helpless and small

Never given the chance

To see the blue sky that covers us all

People arguing

Almost every day

Mostly about things

That don’t matter anyway

From all these words spoken

I have learned one thing

Promises aren’t made to be broken

For I know what they’d bring
