Older Poems I've often been the friend in need,
The one who just needs to talk.
I've always been the friend who was there,
To be with you and take a little walk.
But then you needed me, and I was there.
For you I'd do anything,
For you were a friend in need,
And had done more than the same for me.
You told me of your problems,
And I told you of mine.
Together we worked it out,
To be together for all time.
You are my friend, you'll always be.
And together we're so happy.
I'll never forget my true friends,
For they were a friend in need,
And saw the friend in me.
