Brick Wall

Your love is like a brick wall.

It’s strong and it’ll never fall.

But the thing is that brick walls don’t express.

Sometimes, I feel like I make progress

By just removing a brick at a time.

But you, you go behind me and fill the holes up again. Why?

What’s the rhyme and reason?

What’s with the constant treason?

I hold you so dear to my heart,

It’s because of that we’ll never split apart.

You see the funny thing about a brick wall,

Is that though it will never fall,

It’s protection

Doesn’t make up for the lack of attention

Needed to proceed in the steps ahead.

There are the days where I tell you I need to just go to bed,

Because I’ve had a long day and sleep would be lovely.

I hold my breath as you blow up in a million pieces.

And then the next second, you shower me with kisses.

You are a brick wall and I tried to be a hammer,

So, I’ll do my best and do this in a nice manner.

We’re over because I can’t go on this emotional roller coaster

You a beggar and a boaster.

I’m sorry but we’re over.
