Honest Heart

Folder:
3. Nameless Enigma

Arms wrap around me

In a lover’s embrace

But I am not there

It’s not me you face

My body gives a hug

My lips form to kiss

But I am not there

It’s not me doing this

It is like I’m detached

From this masquerade

Watching from afar

As the scene is played

In the back of my mind

Another love is hidden

Dwelling in harmony

Though it is forbidden

Burning with a passion

Growing with such haste

It surmounts every other

Like nothing I’ve faced

Scares me half to death

The intensity it gains

Deep within my heart

Is where the truth reigns
