like the rain in the distance you can see but cant touch
you're like that happiness i forgot is real

watch the leaf fall but never touch the ground
floating up so high, caught by the wind
that's how you make me feel
like the sun's warmth
i know it's real
flowers blossom and eventually die
but you're like a star
even after it dies
you still shine
the hazy clouds never open up
the dark skies cry
as thunder envelopes your mind
lightening flashes from eye to eye
the rain pours down
you begin to cry
shadows cascade off the walls
tearing your soul
with every beckoning call
why oh why you ask yourself why
did the skies turn black
